2023 Assessment Notices

2023 assessment notices will be mailed to all property owners and available online on January 4. This kicks off our Customer Review Period which will run until March 13. We strongly encourage property owners to review their assessment details and contact Assessment & Tax if they have any questions. As you know, the tax rates will not be finalized until the spring, but property owners can estimate property taxes based on preliminary Council direction by visiting our property tax calculator.

The program ran for 16 years and helped multiunit residential building owners/tenants across Calgary to replace nearly 8,000 leaky, high volume flushing toilets with new WaterSense, high-efficiency toilets. To date, savings from these toilets have topped 200 million litres and counting. The federal government has proposed several new measures to help make life more affordable for Canadians, including providing a one-time renter payment of $500 to an estimated 1.8 million people struggling to pay rent. According to a recent update from the Department of Finance Canada, the new plan will double the federal government’s Budget 2022 commitment and reach twice as many Canadians as initially promised.
